Demonstrate Knowledge and Skills to Learning and in Current and Emerging Instructional Technology

PLO 1 & 2

The role of technology has changed in education what was once a novelty, now serve as a intricate part of learning. Working with the education concept of Universal Design for Learning is designed to increase the flexibility in teaching the goal of the UDL is to eliminate the barriers in learning. Using this new guideline it is easier to observe the flexibility it provides for creating lesson plans that is all inclusive for the diverse learners.

Design Learning Opportunities that Apply Technology-Enhanced Instructional Strategies to Support the Needs of All Learners  Applying Research to Support Technology Enhanced Environment

PLO 3 &4

Education requires more then rote memorization the need for critical thinking is also needed. This will help assist learners in not only obtaining new information, but knowing when to apply the information.

The use of wiki spaces, jinx and bubble maps is a creative way to help learners become comfortable with technology. The teachers role is to help learners become proficient using technology. Many learning concepts such as ADDIE and SAM are made user friendly with technology.

Exemplify Ethical Production Technology and Usage. Evaluate Technology Resources to Facilitate Effective Assessment and Evaluate.

PLO 5 & 6

To assess a students’ understanding and knowledge of information, you must make it clear what information is being judged. The need for clear guidelines and allow the learner to express how they perceive the information.  Journaling can do that, it requires the learner to include facts and judgement of the example. The slide is the connection between what the learner knows applied to the problem.

Utilize Technology to Collect and Analyze Data Interpret Results and Communicate Finding. Demonstrate the Ability to Make Informed Decisions Regarding the Use of Technology in Support of Learning and Leadership

PLO 7 & 8

Students are presented with a professional perspective of leadership this serves as a guideline. Defining what makes a leader and breaking the myth that leaders are not born it is learned. I did not ask what makes a good leader that would consist of opinion, I wanted to present principles. It required students to take an honest look at their principles from basic living to leading others. This really applies to people who are marginalized the fact that there are principles and guidelines that can cover many aspects of leadership.

Marginalized groups many times have vacillating morality the problem is not what is right or wrong the answer is what works. This assignment also helps students with understanding those leaders that fall short of their role. I required students to ask themselves what kind of leader they are now and how does it compare with the principles. Ask the question will their method of leadership work to get the best out of people.   Each student has a chance to take a leadership role the only way to know what kind of leader you would make you have to lead. Receiving feedback from the people you have led gives different perspectives.
